1 January 1957 - The Company was found in 1957 by Wim Vriens Sr. as the Vriens Diving Company. The Company started in Roosendaal. The Company started with a small workshop and just a few people including Vriens Sr. self as the Senior Diver, and some basic Diving gear and started diving at several locations around Europe and mainly in the Netherlands.
6 June 1959 - When Vriens Sr. started to earn money with the early diving works, he immediately started to invest in the company, as he saw potential in the company and the industry. The first Diving vans where utilized to improve mobility and several small diving works such as underwater repairs, inspections and installations where conducted.
2 November 1973 - In 1973, DCN Diving moved to Bergen op Zoom at the Van Konijnenburgweg 151. This is the address where the HQ of DCN Diving is currently based. The company started with a small office and workshop and started to expand heavily with investment of new Assets, property and personnel.
1 January 1980 -
In the 80s DCN participated in the construction of the Oosterscheldekering, the largest Delta works in the history of the Netherlands. This project was a stepping stone for the company and it was here where the company started to implement underwater dry solutions. During the installation of the structures the concrete mattresses were damaged. DCN was contracted to repair these in the dry underwater. A habitat was utilized to conduct the repair in the dry.

During this project, the Dutch Diving Tables were developed as the Sterk-Vriens tables. The NDC (National Diving Centre) was also founded by W. Vriens Sr. during this period
5 March 1982 -In the 80s DCN started with Saturation Diving. One of the project was the first ever Saturation Diving project conducted in Newfoundland Canada. The scope of the project was to conducting a pre-survey for a cable installation, where several core drilling samples were conducted at 150 meters depth.
After the project, the saturation system was installed in a mineshaft to serve as a training facility.

1 January 1992 - Vriens Diving began a joined venture with Raaymakers Diving. The joint venture was formed from a project where both companies participated in (construction works of the Noorderdersluis). The JV was called Diving Combination Noordersluis (DCN). The company was later on converted into an Ltd.
6 January 1993 - Activities shifted to civil works with underwater concreting at various underground parking’s and tunnels on and between the German Potsdamerplatz and Lehrter Bahnhof.
6 January 2010 - In 2010s the company regained focus on world-wide offshore and hyperbaric operations. Development of the Hyperbaric Testing Centre and successful completion of milestone hyperbaric projects on subsea structures and pipelines.
Upgrade of the Bergen op Zoom Yard, built of the second pipeline repair habitat and implementation of a company wide ERP system.

1 January 2016 - DCN refocused on the North Sea market and conducted several IRM and pipeline installation and decommissioning projects.
