Bridges & Tunnels

Bridges

DCN Diving has been involved in major bridge construction projects since the 1970s, starting with the Oosterschelde Storm Surge Barrier in the Netherlands and later international projects such as the Queensferry Crossing in Scotland.

We provide specialized underwater support for the construction of bridge foundations and supports, including:

  • Civil engineering works underwater
  • Caisson deployment and positioning
  • Piling assistance
  • Underwater concreting
  • General diving support

TBM & Tunneling

Prior to Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) operations, DCN Diving delivers a complete support package, ranging from civil engineering and dredging to dive support activities such as underwater welding, cutting, high-pressure water jetting, bentonite operations and underwater concreting.

During TBM operations we continue to provide support. The cutter head of a TBM operates in a hyperbaric environment where inspection, maintenance and repairs are often required. Our specialist hyperbaric teams carry out these interventions using dedicated procedures and purpose-built equipment, ensuring safe and efficient progress of the tunneling works
