At DCN Diving, we believe that preparation and precision are key to safe and successful operations. That’s why we invest in world-class testing and training facilities.
In addition to our Hyperbaric Test Centre, DCN Diving operates two modern Wet Test Centres, one at our headquarters in the Netherlands and another in Aberdeen, United Kingdom.
At these facilities, we train our divers through the DCN Academy, equipping them with all the essential skills needed for professional subsea work. This includes among others, underwater welding, tightening bolts underwater and handling various assets in subsea environments. Divers can also earn their official Lloyd’s Register wet welding certificate here.
The Wet Test Centres allow us to prepare divers for specific tasks before a project begins. By training them in advance on the exact procedures, we ensure they know exactly what to do when the real work starts.
In addition to diver training, the centres are also used to test new developments. For example, we successfully tested our Micro Habitat in-house before deploying it subsea. Being able to test in our own facilities offers a major advantage. It saves time, reduces risks and streamlines project execution.
