Following structural concerns with the Forth Road Bridge, the Queensferry Crossing was constructed as its replacement. DCN Diving was contracted to provide dive support and execute critical underwater works for the bridge foundations.
Our scope included the mobilization of multiple diving spreads, caisson installation support, sediment removal, and extensive underwater preparations such as water jetting, airlifting, inspections, and underwater cutting and welding.
We also carried out large-scale underwater concreting for seven bridge supports at depths of up to 40 meters, followed by final survey and demobilization.
